Connecting the Academic and the Professional
The DBL serves as a vital link that connects technology and professional members to each other in the context of advanced, project-based research. Professional members provide real-world problems, while technology members provide emerging technology innovations. Together these two member groups provide a rigorous real-world foundation to the DBL research methodologies. The lab serves as a conduit to resources across the Georgia Tech campus, including students and faculty, as well as advanced fabrication machinery, testing equipment, and high performance computing capabilities.
Our network on campus includes collaborations with many other disciplines inside the Schools of Architecture, Building Construction and Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as beyond the traditional AEC disciplines to programs in computer science and robotics, materials science, and supply chain research.
